Over the years, we’ve learnt that young people can only be properly cared for if their carers are looked after too. That’s why we give our foster carers a network of support including social workers, carer buddies, counsellors and training. No matter where you are on your fostering journey, with our team by your side, you’ll never feel like you’re on your own.
Foster buddies often become lifelong friends of new foster carers. They’re there to support, answer questions or just be there to lean on when needed.
Our councellors can offer one to one councelling support to equip you with the skills to manage behaviour at home.
Informal, local group sessions that provide an invaluable opportunity to speak to other foster carers, share experiences, and be part of a fostering community.
Foster carers who can offer a bit of well-earned time and space for our full-time foster carers when they need to regroup and recharge their batteries.
A professional social worker who’ll be with you right from the off; helping with your application, to your very first placement, and beyond.
Our trainers offer their expert knowledge with training programmes, many in specific areas including complex needs, special needs and sexual harm.
